Please DO NOT visit the King’s Head if you answer yes to any of the following:

  • In the last 14 days, do you think you may have had symptoms of COVID-19: fever, coughing, breathlessness, sore throat, loss or change in your sense of smell/taste?
  • In the last 14 days have you been in contact with someone who has COVID-19?
  • Do any members of your household currently have any symptoms of COVID 19?

NHS Test and Trace
It is mandatory for us to take contact details from our customers in order to support the NHS Test and Trace programme.    We display the NHS Covid App QR code for scanning, which is our preferred method of recording information, and also have individual customer record forms for completion should you prefer not to use the NHS App.  Please note that all guests aged 16 and over are to provide contact details. Should you prefer not to use the app, we will keep your contact details safe for 21-days and will only share with NHS Test and Trace if requested. We will not use your details for any other purposes or pass them on to anyone else and they will be securely destroyed after the 21-day period expires.

Group size
Government guidance currently stipulates indoor gatherings in hospitality venues are allowed with up to 6 people (to include children) or 2 households of any size.     If you are eligible to form a support bubble, you and your support bubble count as one household towards the limit of 2 households when meeting others outdoors

Your reservation
We are asking all guests to arrive promptly at the time of their booking. Reservation times have been laid out to ensure minimal congestion in and out of the building

A hand sanitiser station has been set up upon entrance to the restaurant and we ask our guests to sanitise their hands before entering and leaving the premises.  Additional sanitiser stations have been set up in other areas of the restaurant. We ask that you keep any coats/ jackets/outerwear with you during your visit.  Please do not hang on the wall-mounted coat-hooks.

Face masks
All customers will be required to wear a face mask indoors, unless you are exempt. This is purely for entering/leaving the building and walking through the restaurant (for example, to visit the cloakroom). You will not be required to wear them whilst seated at your table.

Ordering
Food and drink orders must be placed whilst seated at your table.

Your meal
Staff will keep their distance during service and make minimal contact with our clients, whilst still providing a professional and attentive service.   All front of house staff wear face masks in line with the current government directives

Our premises
Enhanced cleaning and sanitising regimes are in place.   All soft furnishings, cushions, etc have been removed to allow ease of cleaning and sanitising.   Tables and chairs are cleaned with antibacterial cleaner after each use and, where possible, windows will be open to allow for extra ventilation.

Protecting you and our staff
All our staff complete a Covid Health Questionnaire and are temperature checked on arrival for their shift. Any member of staff that displays signs of covid symptoms is immediately sent home.  In line with government guidelines, all our front of house staff wear face masks

Even with the safety measures implemented by the King’s Head, it is impossible to eliminate all risk and there remains the potential for unintended transmission of COVID-19 between staff and customers/customers and staff.  We polity ask therefore that all customers play their part in minimising the risk to themselves and others and help reduce the spread of Covid-19

If you have any queries or concerns before or during your visit, please do not hesitate to speak with us

Thank you for your support
